Ray Yamaguchi （レイ・ヤマグチ）は日英バイリンガルのフォト・ビデオグラファー、デザイナー、ディレクター、そして翻訳家。アメリカで育ち、大学卒業後は日本で就職。メーカーにてデジタルマーケティングとブランディング、企画、コンテンツ制作、Web 制作、SNS運用を担当。その後、Vantanデザイン研究所にてアートディレクション、グラフィック＆Webデザインなどを習得。研究所を卒業と共にメーカーを退職し、フォトグラファー・ビデオグラファーとして活動開始。

現在はアーティストのMVやライブ撮影、ファッションフォト、スポーツイベントの写真・映像制作、企業プロモーション撮影、ペット撮影など、幅広い写真と映像撮影および編集を手がけている。更に、バイリンガルである武器を活かし、国内から海外向け、または海外から国内向けのコンテンツ制作なども行なっている。様々な文化やジャンルを超えてグローバルにメッセージを伝えることができ、海外のクライアント、俳優やモデル、そして特に現地の人間と不自由なく会話ができ、時に「真実」を見出し、どこの国にいても回りの人間と一緒に心が動きコンテンツの作ることを心がけている。

Naoto ‘Ray’ Yamaguchi is a bilingual photographer, videographer, designer, creative director, and translator. Raised in the U.S., and later moving to Japan at the age of 22, he has lived his life in two worlds and fluently speaks the two languages. This ability has allowed him to pursue the expanses of the world, work to capture the stories in each part of the world, and communicate it through multiple cultures.

The content produced span from music/live performance videos and fashion photography, to sports event photo & video production, corporate promotion content, and pet photography. Ray’s ability to communicate messages through multiple cultures, and across multiple genres has enabled him to communicate directly with foreign clients, actors/actresses, models, and most importantly with locals, which allows surrounding people to work together comfortably,  and most importantly, enjoy the creative work that is being done together. He also specializes in assisting globalization of Japanese clients to enter foreign markets, and clients from foreign countries to enter the Japanese market through his content creation.

His background in music has also enabled him to participate in a broader range of projects from music videos, to online music educational content.

Ray is currently based near the center of Tokyo, Japan.
